Hope Floats
Take some rest here, you are tired
Escapades to the freedom of mind and heart
I walked, through the earth and gravity
Wearied was my soul as if mired
My father is a noble man, but his rule is failing
Long we have seen this, but for now
People losing faith and allegiance
Louder were those sounds of wailing
He would look at me and hope
Things would get right in order
For I will restore his glory and honor
I will make those melancholy eyes cope
There is a vision, but I cannot see it
It’s long since I had any hope
How can I rest in these hours lost
That hastens the pain of defeat every bit
Have you ever seen it, I asked
The bright eyes sparkling like spike of silver
Unrestrained when your soul takes a fly
When despair is taken away from morning breeze
Have you ever been called home?
By clear ringing sounds of trumpet
One day our paths shall lead us there
Desire and Hope shall float till that time.
Escapades to the freedom of mind and heart
I walked, through the earth and gravity
Wearied was my soul as if mired
My father is a noble man, but his rule is failing
Long we have seen this, but for now
People losing faith and allegiance
Louder were those sounds of wailing
