Great Expectations

It is not the part of common occurrence in the time
Climbing up against the hope might be serious crime
Behold! For it is a function of the emotional bonding
Honored esteem is one of its precious belonging

An epitome of unison, a bond of reverence
In search of the bliss of happiness and coherence
They walk unaided through this malicious satisfaction
While they savor the merry of gleeful gratification

The mechanics of clockwork are indeed stealthy
Unruly wheel of destiny revolves with the wealthy
They would shun their desires, chant incantations
And preserve the towering heap of expectations

Blimey! Would you stay with me while I talk?
Follow the words spoken as an orderly flock
Know my wants and fulfill my needs
For the expectation commands such deeds

No one ever talks about it
They just do it...
And they would go on with their life
Observing the signs denoting the strife

How can we live upto their dreams?
Shuddering, praying we see them scream
To hold on to the freedom of the lone past
To disclaim the expectations rising so fast

I aint no aware of the obligations you hold
Nay! It’s your wish to give in your soul and be told
Togetherness is the art of being one in adaptation
Following it usually are our great expectations.

The Secret at the Doorstep

The doors to the light were to be opened in dark
The heirloom of this heaven kingdom was in vicinity
All who followed it, were bound to this fate
It was precious to all; the vision lied within the mark

The markings on the wall were beginning to fade
It mirrored only the starlight and the moonlight
The writing that was once clear is now incomprehensible
The secret buried was now getting more furtive and jade

A slight touch on to the scripting and it was clear
The scramble penning of the mind and soul in fusion
Orthography was revealing, but with a great pain
A secret was out, that only strong could bear

Things we touch have no permanence
There is nothing we can hold on to in this world
Only by letting it go, we can truly possess the things
That what is real, and carry significance

The glow of enlightenment was visible
Wise were the cant spoken at the doorstep
The noble lords returned in health and in peace
For they uncovered the secret so invincible
