Before Sunrise
It was in the middle of a bright starry night
Walking down the esplanade beside the shore
A moment it was to get hold of for ever
And a time they knew was everlasting never
He had come a long way from the yesteryears
Unraveling the ties so tangled and tousled
It was in store for sure, though he had no inkling
He felt the beads of joy and radiance sprinkling
A bright picturesque figure stood before him
And there it was,
An angelic beauty with gift of purity
So beatific that would wane the human sanity
Eyes shine with brilliance like of a morning star
Touch of skin or of a silken thicket so green
An enticing smile was the mark of such seraphic presence
Dwelling in such happiness was the true essence
A true revelation of a new world as you may call it
He was a true naive, perhaps too callow to accept this
Why are all good things so ephemeral?
The conviction and the belonging all seem peripheral
The moment is eternal for ‘You and Me’, she said
A new day and new beginning with her will always be
Like a life’s greatest gift received out of bounds
The everlasting sweetness in the air was found
The night was singing pangs of its passing
And the sun was rising, lighting all that lied ahead
He would not now walk alone would be anyone’s surmise
For he would be with her eternally, before every sunrise
Walking down the esplanade beside the shore
A moment it was to get hold of for ever
And a time they knew was everlasting never
He had come a long way from the yesteryears
Unraveling the ties so tangled and tousled
It was in store for sure, though he had no inkling
He felt the beads of joy and radiance sprinkling
A bright picturesque figure stood before him
And there it was,
An angelic beauty with gift of purity
So beatific that would wane the human sanity

WOW...have read most of your poems but this one takes the cake! The language, feel, genuinity is impeccable
It actually has a "lingering" quality to it...ridden with emotion for the love and longing of a Beautiful, desirable yet pure woman.
The character and aura of the your lady love clearly shine through...Lucky must be the one who is the source of such inspiration.
May your sunrise brighten into a morning as radiating as the woman you talk of.
Good luck !

You're still my favorite poet! Your poems are like stories, I can live through them..
