Exam Psychology

Ya I know it’s the exam time
For the goofing and gassing is on
The weird questions and the ironical answers
They surely aren’t worth a dime

It started with a number nagging
The objective function was high
And so were the mental constraints
Health stats were successfully flagging

Roughened by the restricted communication
And worsened by the unjust rambling
In this art of business conversation
There was no sign of negotiation

The mental ratios were proving unhealthy
Increasing anxiety, decreasing relief
Mind was totally hoping for some receipts
But the pricing too was stealthy

And then it was question of leaving a mark
Patience, Perseverance, Power and Potions
All four Ps were failing
The result should certainly be kept in dark

For a change the technology took a toll
Telepathy was not working
And the soft ware of the hard brain wearing
The mind machine was going loll

I know now it’s too tiring and bleak
For the human capital is already eroding
And with economics of behavior still left to test
But we all must gear for another nasty week.

The Shadow In The Dark

The hour grew later than I thought
My only soul shuddered and crumbled under bed
The sounds of the wailing greyhounds were louder
The shadow lurking in dark was making me dead
I couldn’t yell for help or utter a shriek
My only voice was sounding dumb
I dreaded thinking about this spell
The whole body was soon growing numb
I jumped off guard and ran to the door
The ground was shaking with drums in the deep
They had taken the second hall
I couldn’t get out or take a leap
Concealed and disguised they were
Servile to the power of the one
I couldn’t have contended their will
For the evil ever heard none
I was defending myself with lore
Mustering the courage to change the course
I couldn’t stop it anymore
I knew they were coming…
